Celebrity Venture Experts Panel
Thank you experts! Don’t expect our star experts to rip anyone to shreds or offer an investment. We’re not trying to be ABC/CNBC Shark Tank. Our experts are asked to describe their company’s investment or business strategy, share any market insights or business strategy suggestions, make suggestions how to make the best pitches, and most important of all, to have fun.
- Freestyle Studios: Premium Sports Coaching Mobile App – Peter Abraham
- My Debt Buddy: Online Money Management Assistant – Ogden Bass
- Laughlounge.com: Live Comedy on Your Phone – Claude Shires
- Augmented Traveler: AR in Historical Places – Bruce Benson
- Allknightr: Find Gamers Nearby – Kevin Newman
- PhoenixGurus: 3D Display Mobile Phone – Antonio Henry
Kudos to our startup presenters! You are great! Each presenter has five minutes for a deck or demo. Then five minutes for Q&A with the audience.
Statistically speaking, it takes 50+ pitches before a CEO succeeds in raising funds for his or her startup. While investors come to our events, some incognito, the point of pitching is not to immediately land an investor. Nobody writes a check on the first meeting. It’s to hone pitches and start building brand awareness. If you’re a presenter, the good news is only 49 pitches to go! For the rest of us, there’s plenty to be learned by watching others pitch.

To be considered, presenters send us a copy of their deck, which at a minimum has the following as the first five slides. Title slide has company name and a tag line describing what the company does. Next four slides are: “Problem”, “Solution”, “Technology” and “Team”. By the way, pitchfest is moving to third Thursday of the month starting next month.
